Applications for Sixth Form are welcomed from current Matthew Arnold Year 11 students as well as external students from other schools.
For entry into Sixth Form we use a system based on a students' APS (average point score) from their GCSE results to enable students to select the most appropriate subjects at A-Level. Our minimum entry requirements, in order to begin A-Level's, are that students achieve at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English language and mathematics at a grade 4 and students must also meet the APS of their chosen subject.
We expect our students to have a positive attitude to study, high attendance and to meet the school’s expectations. In return, we will provide a stimulating, mature and friendly environment in which students can thrive and contribute to the life of the whole school.
