One of the main aims of Matthew Arnold Sixth Form is for our students to be able to gain access to the best and most appropriate destinations after they leave us so that they can pursue their goals in life. One of the ways that allows students to achieve this is by accessing the best university courses for their desired subject or career.
The Department for Education has recently published the latest destination analysis for students after they leave sixth form. The data indicate the outcomes for students after they leave school and enter their university course or employment.
The latest data show that students at Matthew Arnold are achieving outstanding destinations. The data show that of the students entering university in 2016 43% of the students gained places at the top 30 universities; this compares to a national average of 26% and an Oxfordshire average of 24%. It also shows that students from Matthew Arnold entered the highly competitive Russell Group universities at a rate of 35% against a national average of 17% and an Oxfordshire average of 17%.
This is a testament to the hard work, ambition and desire for growth that Matthew Arnold students continue to demonstrate and we are, as always, proud of their continuing achievement.
