GCSE Results 2018 Update:
Matthew Arnold School in top 15% of schools nationally for progress
The comparative data for the 2018 GCSE results has now been published on the GOV.UK school performance tables. I am delighted to report that, based on the provisional results achieved by our students this summer, the overall progress made by the year group from KS2 to the end of KS4 is categorized in the tables as "well above average". Only 14% of schools nationally are in this top progress category.
In order to achieve such a high progress score, all students have to make excellent progress. Once again, I congratulate every student for their performance in the summer GCSE examinations and also thank the school's staff for the high quality of the teaching and support that they provide to all our students.
